You hear people say it all the time, "dogs are a man's best friend" and I think it is 100% the truth. I have two pups of my own Tootsie & Taz and they are both out of my first dog Callie. Tootsie has been through a lot with me in the last year! Toots and I have moved four times, seen good times, had some rough times, spent a lot of time playing fetch, and sharing every meal together. I got her brother, Taz, at the beginning of this year and already he has moved 1,500 miles from home with me. Being in a new place, and knowing no one while also living in the middle of no where means I spend a lot of time with my pups. Spending all that time with them I have noticed (like many other dog owners) that I like them more than I like most of the population of earth, and here is a few reasons why...
1- They never complain about eating left overs or pizza crust! In fact they love both!
2- They are always down to cuddle, but belly rubs are required! (even if you smell like diesel and oil and haven't showered yet)
3- Dogs make the best vacuum cleaners! No crumbs are ever left behind!
4- Spending all day in the tractor really isn't the worst way to spend the day.
5- Pups are the BEST security system a gal can have! They alert you of all possible dangers which may include : the mail lady, birds, a bag floating by, rowdy teenagers next door, and even the sweet old man in the wheel chair from the street over. (Don't worry we had the conversation that barking at the handicapped is not socially acceptable!)
6- Working cows alone isn't so bad when you have two good cow eating pups by your side!
7- Dogs don't mind if your legs aren't freshly shaved.
8-Doggos are ALWAYS down for a dance party! They don't care about the music, time of day, or reason they are just glad to dance around.
9- They have the best personalities and when they start to annoy you locking them outside is always an option and they won't call CPS!
10- Even if you are having the worst day ever, it doesn't take long to cheer up when they are around!
We often take their unfaltering companionship for granted. I don't know what I would do without their cute little faces around every day! If you agree be sure to give your four legged & furry friends an extra hug and belly rub!
